BOSTON, MA | Chameleon Arts Ensemble: School Concert

  • Forsyth Chapel, Forest Hills Cemetery 95 Forest Hills Ave Boston, MA, 02130 (map)

What does purple sound like? In the same way that artists create scenes with shapes and colors, composers paint pictures with sound. Join us for a colorful afternoon of musical portraits that offer glimpses into worlds of fantasy, memory, and landscapes near and far, with chamber music by Mozart, Milhaud, Bright Sheng, Joan Tower, and more.

Instrument petting zoo

An instrument “Petting Zoo” and demonstration will follow the performance. Children will be able handle and play orchestral instruments as guided by members of Chameleon, and will be encouraged to touch, blow, pluck, bow, and strike.
