Composers Conference and Chamber Music Center

I first played and taught at the Composers Conference and Chamber Music Center currently led by the composer Mario Davidovsky and the conductor James Baker in 1989. For two weeks every summer, my colleagues and I are in residence previously at Wellesley College and starting this summer at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, and devote ourselves to working with young emerging composers who receive fellowships to attend the Conference and have their work performed and recorded. There are two guest senior composers in residence, with Alex Mincek and Rand Steiger being our 2018 guests. We also coach chamber music groups formed by a loyal, inquisitive, and enthusiastic band of amateur players. For more information go to www.composersconference.org.
